back to business

i know(rrr) i haven't posted in a while.. there are so many changes since my last post and i'm too freakin lazy to list all of em..

the point is: i'm back in melb (it's been 2weeks, i think) and my days since were pretty much filled with meetings, meetings, and meetings :s

it's not like i'm THAT important of a person, but i guess i'm just trying to be a wee bit more ambitious than i was last year (yeah, still related to new resolutions)

i'm basically tired of waiting around for other people to do start something or for someone else to initiate something. coz they pretty much ended the same way: no action, talk only.. so i decided to start a business on my own (if that can be called a business :p)

anyway, if you haven't heard about it yet, i'm starting my own artistic consultant and agency.. for now it's sort of like a freelance jobs to develop or create artistic concepts for events and such.. you can say it's an event organizer, but i certainly hate to be called that (you know how i feel about commercialism, or not, whatever)

anyhoo, i have a good feeling about this. so hopefully it will end up well. plus, i have several other things up my sleeves at the moment, but i'm gonna keep em secrets for now, coz i dont wanna jinx it :D

ketch up

catching up is fun, especially with your old friends whom you're not really that close with in the past, but now you feel that you're actually quite compatible with em.

well, menjelang hari2 terakhir liburan gua, gua berusaha menyempatkan diri untuk ketemu temen lama gua, why? because that's part of my new year resolution.. besides, i kinda miss the old times..

jadi beberapa hari ini gua janjian sama mereka2 itu and these so-called reunion turned out to be a blast! i really enjoyed the chats and the catching ups.. kinda made me realize how far i've come since then and on the other hand, create new old friends hehe (am i making any sense?)

anyway, it's too bad i have to leave so early (padahal uda hampir 3 bulan liburannya hehe), but i'm really looking forward going back next time :)

winter in jakarta

winter comes in various forms. in most european countries it comes as snows, australia sometimes hails like crazy, not to mention the cold breezes, while in indonesia (particularly in jakarta), it comes in the shape of shopping malls (=_= i know, right). believe you me, it sounds ridiculous, but it's true. in fact i'm walking in one right now (with the miracle of mobile blogging, of course :p) and i couldn't help but feel the chill. and it made me think... what the heck were these malls' owners thinking when they built em?!

but i guess you get to wear sweaters, wools, coats or whatever garments that keep you warm. so is it just a tool to help market fashionable clothings that are actually unnecessary in tropical countries? maybe to satisfy the demands of those oh-so-many socialites lingering in and around jakarta? hmm.. talk about a poor country. and don't even ask me about the environmental issues (seriously, don't ask, coz i know nothing about it hehe).

anyways, i'm off for a haircut :p

epiphanies

so i was watching this tv show (on dvd, of course) and there was this scene with some buddhist monks in a funeral. and then i remembered something my sis told me about how monks have the best looking skin because they're vegetarian. then i thought, hmm.. what if i try to be one? i certainly can live without pork and beef. but can i live without the oh-so-delish poultry? that's a question i'll never answer, xoxo gossip girl (loh hehe)

anyway, i'm really considering about becoming a vegetarian. well, maybe not totally, but at least i wanna try to live a healthy life (which i guess is my no.3 resolution this year)

so, we'll see how it goes. for now, all i care about is that i'm gonna have lunch at pokesushi (talk about commitment) :p

resolutions

the coolest thing about mobile blogging is that i can still post some serious stuff online while i'm busy...doing important stuff...in the toilet hehe talk about multitasking! :p

anyway, we're now in 2009. gila ya, time flies so fast, before you know it you're frozen, you cut me open and i keep bleeding...keep, keep bleeding love (loh, malah nyanyi) hehe. intinya, it's really time to make changes for the better.

now let's see, resolusi apa aja ya yg perlu gw resolusikan (kalimat macam apa ini). mari kita list bersama:

1. menjadi orang yg lebih gaul hehehe. now now, as lame as this sounds, it's actually harder than it looks, esp since i'm not that much of a social butterfly (as opposed to what people might think), but i think it's important to do some networking for my own future and...i guess well-being :) so people, here i come.

2. boosting up confidence dan self-esteem. buat orang2 yg mengenal gw atau yg kepingin kenal (hihi jijay), gw itu orgnya pemalu banget, sampai2 suka menutupi diri dengan kemaluan orang lain saking malunya hehe. ya pokoknya so far i've been able to overcome many, many, many things yg disebabkan oleh ketidakpercayadirian gw, such as speaking fluency, stage fright, performance anxieties, etc. so i'm ready to take on any obstacles yg akan menghadang (amin!)

and 3. well... i still have about a year to figure it out, so... laters :p

if this attempt at mobile blogging is succesful, i'd be the happiest man on earth! (for a while, at least) :p

sometimes the weather is hot, sometimes it's cold. sometimes people can be bad, sometimes people can be good. life is full of binary oppositions. black and white, good and evil, big and small. the point is..... ada kalanya gua rajin update blog, ada kalanya juga gua males hehehehe..

kita ambil contoh sekarang. coba kita tinjau kembali, kapan terakhir kali gua ngepost di blog ini. i can't even remember when dan i'm sure as hell not gonna check. yang pasti udah lama banget deh.. udah banyaaaaak banget yang terjadi sejak terakhir gua update.

for instance, pas gua post terakhir, gua ada di melb. sekarang, gua ada di jakarta (although i'm gonna go back to melb pretty soon :( not good not good not good)..

technically i'm on holiday right now.. i know i should be in melb with my pr still pending and all, tapi des kmaren kk gua merit, jadi 'terpaksa' deh gua pulang hehehe. it felt sooo good to be back after 2 years. rasanya semua beban2, entah masalah kerjaanlah, masalah masa depanlah, semuanya hilang (maybe not gone, lebih tepatnya dikesampingkan sejenak hehehe)

anyhoo, i've been in jakarta for the past.... 2 months? and i still have 3 weeks untuk engkang2 kaki di sini, before i go back to a life full of misery and depression (i wonder why i still wanna go back)

but i must say, dari selama gua balik, i've been pretty productive (in terms of making full use of my holiday hehe) gua uda jalan2 ke medan, brastagi dan danau toba. although the three of them sebenernya berdekatan, tapi kan tetep aja beda tempat (ngotot!) hehe

and i've been to 3weddings in dec (3 on the same month! can you believe that?!) pertama kk gua, trus temen gua piyo (congratz piy!) and my cousin di medan (hence the trip there).

in terms of career, i think it's growing, well at least i'm doing something about it and i plan to do something even bigger and better (new year resolution ^^) by the way, happy belated new year, people!

in terms of my other career, singing (if i do have one :p) i must say that i'm still passionate about it, but i guess i enjoy pushing and encouraging talented people more these days. rasanya hepi aja kalo bisa convince someone that they have amazing talents. hmm, mungkin gua mesti jadi manager artis haha (we'll see, working on it :p)

oya, gua lagi pingin banget nih blekberi.. tapi lagi dilemma, mendingan blekberi storm, bold ato curve? my top 2 preferences are storm and curve, coz i think too many people are using bold and i kinda prefer using a different gadget than most people.. the thing i like about curve is that they have it in red, and i'm all about red and black when it comes to gadgets ;) on the other hand, i sooo want storm, well basically coz it looks really cool. however, the downsides are: storm doesnt have a keyboard while curve's specs aint that good.. so, which one do you think i should get?

maybe i should post a polling again :p
